Last nite we had a really hard frost come through here.. We've lived in central Florida for 4 1/2 years now and I've never seen it this bad.. Well, maybe bad is the wrong term.. We have the heat on in the house, all the animals outside are fine.. Its already warming up.. But the water buckets do have a layer of ice on the top..
But my garden is really done for now..
I think the pictures say it all.. Its actually really neat to see.. For me anyway.. I come from south Florida where it never does stuff like this so this is a bit of a novelty to me..

Pity about the frost on the spinach. I saw that cold air trough on the weather channel and wondered how far south there would be frost.
You might have been able to save your garden plants if you had covered them with a sheet of individual buckets knowing their was going to be a frost.
Grow plants in the cabbage family for they can withstand some frost. Swiss chard can replace spinach.
I smile when I read people in the South complain about the cold. We have had some -40C(F) days and we have about 3 feet of snow on the ground. I guess weather is relative.
I didn't know there was going to be a frost.. We don't have regular tv here and I never really watched the news anyway.. Hubby listens to the radio while he's working but didn't mention anything about frost..
